Can somebody pls confirm that we can get 3 yr H1 extensions if we file our 485 applications and also any source if you can.
Do not mind but I think this would be a critical ice breaker for lot us to make a decision of to file or not to file
I think as per my discussion with lawyer to get 3 year extension you need I-140 approval.

Not entirely true, I switched job a couple of months ago - filed for AC21. I got an acknowledgment from USCIS for the same - stating that it will be added to my file, to be reviewed when my application is processed.

I did online MS degree and it took 3 years, although I could have completed it in 2.5 years. First year I completed only 1 course per sem, then I started doing 2 per sem. I took non-thesis option and the total cost was aprx 15K from ISU. Thye charge flat rate fee per subject ( aprx 3 credits) irrespective of residency requirements (you can actually do this course from anywhere in the world and it would cost the same) . This degree requires 30 total credits (one of them must be a project, so technically only 9 subjects/courses to take).

Thanks ilikekilo for the information. My husband medical coverage will start on the same day of his joining date. There is no waiting period. We need to find out what kind of healthcare plan they are providing and check whether my hospital and OB is under there network.

Does anything mentioned on your link about policy surrender or money withdrawal when policy is in force? please search more and post here....
As far as I know whatever premium you pay is gone when you cancel the policy but if the policy has cash value then you get that amount.

The flower campaign is apparently working as far as the attention the issue is getting.
If we can manage to send at least 500-700 flowers to USCIS, that will create the kind of attention we want and it will bring the issue of retrogression again on the forefront in Washington DC.

If the amnesty bill passes, you are better off pointing immigration violation and perhaps tearing you passport and claiming being illegal
Before you tear up passport just remember that you were fingerprinted/ photoed multiple times before coming here and they can easily retrieve your records. Also if you change your names your degrees/experience will be worthless. Be careful while throwing out such comments.
Is GC worth becoming illegal? If nothing works then leave it on fate and go back. India is not a worthless country. It gives huge oppurtunities. Sometimes I think that if westerners can go there and make money then there should be something wrong with me that I am so scared to go back.

I hope it does some good to you and makes your PD current/closer so that you dont eat/sleep/drink VB. C mon man... There are other things you can do. Dont get offended by what I am saying. If your PD is closer, I can understand your excitement. But a lot of people are just killing time in forums by working their ass off on predictions and call it comic relief. I hope IV core members stop encouraging this kind of behavior.

If they don't approve, then, I can add her into AOS when my PD gets current again assuming I don't file for EAD (I won't - I like my employer for now).

My company lawyer addressed this part. The way it works is that they will work on your file only when your PD is current. So even if you apply now, they most likely wont work on it after July as your PD wont be current. Then when next time (say in Jan 2008) when your PD becomes current, they will pick up all the files for that month and start working on it. It might be that they will work on your file on Jan1st or Jan 31st. You can send your wife AOS the moment your PD becomes current. So you want to make sure that it reaches there before they approve your AOS. In case you are extremely unlucky, then they would start working on your file on 1st day of the month and finish it before end of that day, making it impossible for your wife's application to go through. Thats rare though. So if you can make sure that her app reaches on 1st day of the month in which PD is current, then they should most likely add her to your AOS and work on those together and make your life go forward....its a chance which you will be taking...But again life is a chance

I and my family feel immensely proud that we are able to live in this country of freedom governed by a great leader like you.
Mr President you are the symbol of hope not only for the citizens of USA but also for all of the immigrant community. You have raised our hopes that we will also be able to become a citizen of this great country soon. Your selection as the Nobel Peace Prize winner has strengthen this hope further. Sir, Please do not belie our hopes.
Please revamp the current immigration rules and provide immidiate attention to the immigration reform. Sir, we all are looking up to you.

It re-inforces my opinion that europeans are ... simply out of touch w/ reality. Look america has already showed world, it can elect a black as a president from country of pre-dominatly white ( still white, check census). And what have these european self-labeled-elites done comparably?

IP is banned?
I am sure he has heard of IP hiding techniques. If I were banned based on my IP, and I consistently want to post dividing threads on IV, would I not use a hidemyip plugin or post thru one of the hide my IP websites?

Dont give him ideas. I wouldnt ban based on IP as I know many guys from same company can be members of IV. We dont want to ban all of them.
Second, I would not ban him, instead make him part of us for a collective action. He seems to have a big group and they are planning to do somethings in which we have interests too. If his agenda if fully like those of IV or mine in my thread, then its not a bad idea to do something rather than waiting for a shubh ding for EB3 to become current or move drastically.
